Riverledge Farm in Grafton

Our annual meeting will take place this year at the Riverledge Farm property in Grafton. It will be held Rain or shine!! Riverledge Foundation, Ltd. (RLF) was founded in 2009 to restore, preserve and protect Riverledge Farm, to use the facilities and resources of the Farm as education and recreation assets for the public benefit, and to facilitate conservation and historic preservation work in southern Vermont. The Foundation is an operating foundation that owns, operates, preserves and maintains the Farm for the benefit of present and future generations.
The woodland consists of 330 acres of forest and open land. In the morning, forester Andy Sheere will show us the results of a recent harvest, accomplished in the winter of 2012-2013. We will hold our business meeting at noon to award scholarships, elect trustees, and review the year’s activities. Michael Snyder, Vermont State Commissioner of Forests, Parks, and Recreation, will update us on some recent legislation and other subjects of interest. In the afternoon, led by Audubon Biologist Steve Hagenbuch, we will learn about the Audubon bird monitoring plots that have been established at Riverledge, and the Foresters for the Birds program.
